Here’s my ideal Friday. Loot a cultist, find a cipher wheel, infiltrate the cult, take it down from the inside.
Here’s a printable PDF for a prop you can use in-game to encode and decode secret messages!
Get a Cipher Wheel printable
Here's my ideal Friday. Loot a cultist, find a cipher wheel, infiltrate the cult, take it down from the inside.
I made a cipher wheel printable that you can give as a prop to your players! All you need is scissors and a split pin, a dead body they can loot the cipher wheel from (fine, or a wooden chest, I guess), and they'll be ready to decode secret messages.
Cult aside, there are a bunch of ways you could use it in game. Infiltrate a secret society, outsmart the thieves' guild, solve an ancient temple's puzzles, intercept orders from enemy army, decode a spicy love letter, or your players could just use it to send secret messages to their allies.
This printable PDF has 3 wheels, including one using zodiac symbols. Be aware that the color might change slightly depending on your printer's settings! There are also instructions in there on how to use cipher wheels, and a few sample keys. Enjoy!
(These along with a bunch of other stuff are free for patreon members, if that’s an option you’d be into! Link: https://www.patreon.com/c/corkboardsandcuriosities)
